Subject: #18 An inn proprietress of the Kaei era (1848-54), holding two blue and white pots of Fukujuso (Japanese Pheasant-eye) traditionally displayed on New year's day. From the series, Thirty-two Aspects of Customs and Manners of Women, which we shall be auctioning in its entirety over the next few weeks.

Condition: Very slightly trimmed. Laid down on album backing, as issued. Minor offsetting at left. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally very good state.
