Illegibly titled with "Koto" seal and Uchida han (publisher) seal in LR; publisher's mark LL margin.

"B. 1906 in Osaka. Grad. 1930 Kyoto Specialist School of Painting. Exhibited prints with Shun'yokai from 1932, Teiten from 1934. Member of Nihon Hanga Kyokai from 1938. Exhibited Japanese-style painting with Seiryusha from 1931; member from 1950. Series of Kyoto scenes, including Eight Snow Scenes of Kyoto published by Uchida, and a series of flower prints made with Tokuriki Tomikichiro and Kamei Tobei published by Unsodo. Associated with these two artists in Korokusha, a subsidiary of Tokuriki's publishing company which subsidized their sosaku-hanga." --'Guide to Modern Japanese Prints: 1900-1975' by H. Merritt and N. Artist Bio: 
KOTOZUKA, EIICHI was born in Osaka in 1906. He studied at the Kyoto Specialist School of Painting and in the late 1940s was one of the four artists who founded a co-operative publishing company called Koryokusha in an effort to gain an artistic expression free of the major houses. Tokuriki, Tobei and Tasaburo were the other three involved. He has created quite a number of woodblocks covering unique scenes of Japanese tradition, flowers, landscapes and wildlife. He was a member of the Seiryusha Group of Liberal Artists and Died in 1979.
