Guaranteed original Japanese woodblock print by the ukiyo-e artist Ando Hiroshige. Series: Ogura, Imitation of the 100 Poets. Date: ca.1845. Censor: Kinugasa. Publisher: Ibaya.
Of course, Hiroshige is mostly known for his landscapes. This subject is somewhat of a departure showing his versatility. Excellent color and very good impression. Oban design measures 9.5" x 14.25. Left margin is trimmed slightly into seals. Some faint dirt-traces in towards left side of bottom margin. See scans |
