Format: Oban tate-e: 14" x 10"

Subject: A bijin holding a Sake flask with smoke and fire-light crossing the image transversally. This fine series by Kunisada II highlighted the talents of the artist. In the rare first edition printings (like this) with lacquer and blind printing they mark a high-spot in Japanese print production in the 1850's.

Publisher: Tsutaya Kichizo

Date: 1857

Condition: Very fine colors. Full size. Album binding holes along left margin. Fine state of preservation.

Impression: Very fine impression with gauffrage.
