This is a gorgeous (and very large) original woodblock print by sosaku hanga artist Shima Tamami, well listed in all of the modern Japanese print reference books. It is an early print from this noted female printmaker, dating from 1962. This print measures about 14 1/2 x 20 1/2 plus large margins.

Edition 80 of 100 prints. The title translates to enclosed/penned/fenced horses. This edition of 100 dated 1962 would be the second edition; there is an earlier edition of 50 prints dated 1961 (see my JAODB website).
