Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Monday, 24 July 2006 You are bidding on a Large beautiful original Japanese woodblock Shin Hanga print “Bicycle Tournament” signed by an unknown artist published by Kyoto Hanga Printmaker in Showa 30, which is 1955. This is an original woodblock print. The artist’s signature is at the lower right corner of the print. The title of this print, publication date, publisher’s chop stamp “Kyoto Hanga Printmaker”and the carver and printer’s chop marks are in the lower left border of the print. There is a watermark“Kyoto Hanga Printmaker” in the bottom border. The size of this woodblock print is 16 3/4 x 13 1/2 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding through can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry Washi paper. Four borders are intact. Except for some very minor and short wrinkles and light foxing in the top border due to the print’s age, which do not affect the images, this original woodblock print is in excellent condition.
