Impression excellent - very good … embossed, printed on a "Kyoto Hanga In" watermarked paper.
Colors excellent
Condition excellent - very good …light paper toning, lightly wavy on the margins, slightly creased.
Description "Zoku Showa Shokugyo E-zukushi; Taiko Zukuri" (Continuing Sketches of Occupations in Showa Era; Drum Makers). The first of this large series was published by Nishinomiya Shoin in 1938 - 1943. It was very popular and even featured on the Asahi Newspapers every time the new design was published. It was interrupted by World War II. After the war, Kyoto Hanga-in made the continuation of it. This series was an interesting document of the new as well as the old, dying occupations in Japan in early to mid 20th Century.
