The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Note that there may be some inaccuracies:
This print is authentic, not restrike or reproduction. I guarantee it. This is a genuine original Japanese woodblock print by great shin-hanga artist Shintaro Takeda (1886-1957) titled "A Night Fishing ". This print is probably the most famous from Shintaro Takeda works, published by Unsodo. The print is not trimmed, has full margins. Great impression, good color and registration. Sealed by artist in the image and titled in kanji at the left margin, undated but printed no later than 1957. Oban size 15 3/4" x 10 3/4".

| Artist Bio: |
I can find no reliable information on this artist. If I remember correctly I did see an edition of his Seto Inland Sea scene containing the Kasamatsu Shiro seal (Kasamatsu also published via Unsodo). According to the publisher Unsodo (in 2022), they have no information on who the artist Okazaki Shintaro was, but they do state that they feel Okazaki Shintaro was not Kasamatsu Shiro. In the past this artist was mistakenly thought to be Takeda Shintaro (1886 – 1957). However, this is most likely not the case, because the first kanji character in their given names is different (新太郎 and 伸太郎).
