Artist Bio:
I can find no reliable information on this artist. If I remember correctly I did see an edition of his Seto Inland Sea scene containing the Kasamatsu Shiro seal (Kasamatsu also published via Unsodo). According to the publisher Unsodo (in 2022), they have no information on who the artist Okazaki Shintaro was, but they do state that they feel Okazaki Shintaro was not Kasamatsu Shiro.
In the past this artist was mistakenly thought to be Takeda Shintaro (1886 – 1957). However, this is most likely not the case, because the first kanji character in their given names is different (新太郎 and 伸太郎).
