Note that there may be some inaccuracies: You are bidding on an original, signed Japanese woodblock print by Hasui Kawase (1883-1957), one of the most renowned Japanese artists of the 20th century. This Oban Tate-e landscape print is an excellent impression and in very good - excellent condition overall with very minor defects, such as a small and very minute bend in the outer margin, lower right corner and a couple of extremely minor "wrinkle-like" spots in the blue sky that may likely have resulted from the impression process itself (one has to hold the print angled to the light to even detect them). I cannot show these up photographically. The most obvious, undesirable feature is the masking tape used during the original matting of the print, which I have left alone, recommending that that the buyer have it professionally removed. There is suggestion of fading due to it's light color, but I believe this to be essentially as originally printed; buyer can assess.
	Artist Bio:	川瀬 巴水。1883年（明治16年）5月18日 - 1957年（昭和32年）11月7 日）。大正・昭和期の浮世絵師、版画家。1918年 （大正7年）、風景画家として世に出る。以後、数多くの木版画を発表。 衰退した日本の浮世絵版画を復興すべく吉田博らとともに新しい浮世絵版画の叙情的世界に、自然に肉薄する近代人の視点を導入することにより、独自の世界を展開した。享年74歳。
